Wallasey Waste Management are proud specialists of WEEE disposal. The aim of this directive would be to both reduce the amount of electrical and electronic equipment being made by homes and companies alike and to motivate everyone to take accountability for the safe disposal and recycling of their redundant electrical equipment. This consequently reduces landfill use and greatly benefits the environment.
We work with our partners to achieve economical options for the safe disposal and where possible the recycling of WEEE things to fulfill the requirements set out in the directive. We provide a complete, high quality, cost effective, begin to finish service, including, collection, transfer, recycling and disposal of your WEEE things. This then allows you peace of mind knowing that your redundant, broken or used WEEE things are dealt with in accordance together with the right legal procedures.
All of our drivers have ADR Licenses for hazardous waste transfer. We use newly registered unmarked vehicles with satellite navigation and mobile tracking. On collection we supply a certificate of clearance/waste transport consignment note with driver’s signature.
Your WEEE doesn’t leave the vehicle until it reaches the depot, where it is unloaded for recycling or disposal, usually the same day. The majority of equipment now gathered is consigned for physical destruction with retrieval of the many substance components. The equipment is stripped down and any data is ruined, any dangerous elements are removed, for example: gas discharge lamps and lithium cells on the motherboards. The rest of the material is then divided, shredded and processed.
A certificate of destruction can be provided, if requested, usually by e-mail attachment as verification that your small has been recycled or destroyed. To compliment the preceding WWM is registered on the Data Protection Register, we hold an authorized waste carriers license and have full liability insurance to cover the work. These can all be checked on our downloads page.
